Dr. Claudine Jones-Bourne

Dr. Claudine Jones-Bourne is a board-certified psychiatrist who welcomes clients throughout New York to her remote practice. Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, she attended Johns Hopkins University before earning her doctorate from Meharry Medical College. Dr. Jones-Bourne completed her adult psychiatry residency training at Columbia University and went on to complete a Public Psychiatry Fellowship at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, affiliated with Columbia University. She has also received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma-informed care.

Dr. Jones-Bourne’s treatment philosophy is rooted in the recovery model, where clients play an active role in shaping their treatment goals. Her mission is to improve each client’s overall quality of life and functioning through individualized, holistic care that extends beyond medication management. She integrates psychopharmacology, therapy, and complementary approaches to support long-term wellness and healing.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Jones-Bourne is passionate about expanding access to mental health education and mentorship. She is increasingly focused on supervising and mentoring nurse practitioners and physician assistants in psychiatric practice, while also broadening her educational reach through digital platforms including YouTube, Patreon, and Udemy. Through these platforms, she provides accessible mental health education, wellness content, and professional development resources for both the public and healthcare professionals.
